Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th 1968) is an American actress who is known for her roles in the roles of Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.



 



 Early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois"DuPage County" Illinois near Chicago. Her family was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers at school. Carlson is of Swedish descent, with roots from Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: College , and early career



 She was first introduced to Hollywood when she worked as a background actor in the film Lucas starring Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim as well as Winona Ryder. She then followed her elder sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.
