Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Shlesinger, born 22nd February 1983 is an American comedian actor, actress, TV host executive producer, and screenwriter. She was the winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing and went on to host the dating show syndicated to TBS Excused and the TBS game show Separation Anxiety.
Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 as her own late night talkshow. There are six Netflix comedy specials. Her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show premiered on Netflix in April of 2020.
Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born New York City to a Jewish family. Her family brought her up in Dallas, Texas by her parents, who moved to the city as a young infant. She was a student at the private Greenhill School in Addison, Texas, where she studied Spanish as well as participated in the school's improv group.
Shlesinger has performed on ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She also was a part of Semester at Sea. She enrolled at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she majored in film, refined her editing and writing skills and was a part of one of the campus' comedy sketch groups, Jimmy's Traveling All Stars.

After graduation from college, Shlesinger relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was one the most well-known members of the Whiteboy Comedy troupe of standup comedians from Los Angeles. It brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
